If you’re looking to pick up Starfield this September, one retailer is offering a preorder bonus that literally sweetens the deal. It’s been discovered that Best Buy is offering everyone who preorders the spacefaring RPG a free Halo Astronaut ice cream sandwich.

Best Buy says the ice cream sandwich has a value of $10 (which is a bit dubious since other retailers sell it for $5). It includes a triumvirate of flavors, including chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, packed between two chocolate wafers.

Starfield releases on September 6 both as a physical product and digitally. All Game Pass subscribers can play the game as part of their membership, but unfortunately for them, as of now, ice cream is not one of the perks of the subscription service.

In addition to the $70 standard edition, Starfield has a $100 Premium edition and a $300 Constellation edition. For more, check out GameSpot’s Starfield preorder guide that runs through the various editions of the game and what’s included in them.

Starfield was originally announced in E3 2018 and is the first new IP to come out of Bethesda Game Studios in the past 25 years. During the Xbox Games Showcase 2023, a lot more information was revealed about the game. For instance, the game will have over 1,000 planets to explore, a comprehensive skill tree, intense space fights, and more.
