“Remnant II” is a game that offers various archetypes, allowing players to customize their character and playstyle. At the start of the game, players must choose one archetype to begin their journey, with the possibility of discovering others as they progress. Among these additional archetypes is the Summoner, a class that utilizes minions to defeat enemies, similar to a necromancer in other games. This guide will explain how to unlock the Summoner archetype.

How to unlock the Summoner archetype in Remnant 2

The Summoner archetype in the game requires a specific item that can only be found in Yaesha. The initial objective is to collect 15 Bloodmoon Essence, which can be obtained by shooting down floating pinkish-red orbs that appear during a blood moon in Yaesha’s overworld areas. These orbs are abundant during a blood moon, so it is advised to shoot down as many as possible. Additionally, the Bloodmoon Essence can also be used to craft other items apart from the one needed to unlock the Summoner archetype.

When you get your hands on at least 15 Bloodmoon Essence, you’ll need to seek out a Bloodmoon Altar. These spawn in random places around Yaesha’s overworld areas, which implies that you’ll have to engage in some exploration in order to locate them. You’ll see them as a blue stone of sorts on your map when they’re nearby, thus making them relatively easy to spot once you’re in close proximity to them. Furthermore, it is important to note that the altars have a tendency to manifest themselves in various geographical locations. Therefore, conducting a thorough search is crucial in order to successfully locate the altars.

Approach the altar and interact with it to open a merchant menu. Here, you can exchange Bloodmoon Essence for a variety of useful items and armor pieces that will be useful for the Summoner archetype. Right now, though, you’re here for the very first item on the list–the Faded Grimoire. When you have it in your possession, it’s time to head back to Ward 13.

In Ward 13, you’ll need to head to Wallace and speak with him. He can be found at the dock in a shack about halfway up the stairs. You’ll probably remember this NPC as the person who gave you your very first archetype at the beginning of the game. When you arrive at Ward 13, take note of its bustling atmosphere. The vibrant energy in the air invigorates your senses, heightening the anticipation of what lies ahead. As you make your way through the winding streets, keep an eye out for Wallace, a familiar face in this bustling hub. Finally, you reach the docks where Wallace’s humble shack stands. It’s a quaint structure, weathered by time and adventure, a testament to the countless journeys it has witnessed. Ascending the stairs, you feel a sense of nostalgia washing over you, recalling the day Wallace first bestowed upon you your very first archetype. Wallace, with his warm smile and wise eyes, greets you with open arms. His presence exudes a sense of wisdom and guidance, for he has seen many traversers embark on their heroic quests. Engaging in conversation, you can’t help but be captivated by his stories and experiences. It is within this sacred space that you realize the profound impact Wallace has had on your own journey. He represents more than just a character in the game; he embodies the wisdom and guidance necessary to navigate the challenges that lie ahead. As you part ways with Wallace, you are filled with a newfound sense of purpose and determination. Armed with the knowledge and skills he has imparted to you, you continue your adventure, ready to face whatever awaits in your path. The memories of this encounter linger in your mind, reminding you of the importance of connection and mentorship in your journey through Ward 13.

Exchange the Faded Grimoire with Wallace to get the Tome of the Bringer. Once you have it, you can equip it on the Archetype page in your menu to become a Summoner. You can use it as your primary or secondary archetype, so make sure you think about which one will fit your playstyle better.
