The Evolution Championship Series, a premier annual fighting-game event and a cornerstone of the fighting-game community, concluded its registration for 2024 earlier this week. It has been announced that Evo 2024 in Las Vegas will not only be the largest event in Evo history but also the biggest tournament ever held in esports.

A record 10,224 unique players from 63 countries have registered for at least one of Evo’s eight main competitions. Unlike previous years, the 2024 event will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, moving away from the Mandalay Bay Convention Center and Arena.

Evo 2024 will feature record-breaking tournaments for Tekken 8, Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, and the Throwback Series game, Street Fighter III: Third Strike. Other games in the lineup include Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1, Guilty Gear Strive, The King Of Fighters XV, and Under Night In-Birth II Sys.

This year’s event has surpassed last year’s total of 9,182 entrants, with over 7,000 players registered for Street Fighter 6 alone. Evo 2023 introduced new gameplay trailers for the upcoming Tekken 8 and Mortal Kombat 1, and revealed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration with Street Fighter 6.

Evo 2024 is scheduled for July 19-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. While registration for participants is closed, spectator passes are still available on the Evo website.
