Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 is entering its final stretch, with just a few weeks left before the next big update drops. What’s interesting is that Season 2 is ending earlier than usual, hinting at a major shake-up to Fortnite’s typical summer schedule. The current battle pass is set to expire on May 2 at 10:30 PM PT / 1:30 AM ET, after which Fortnite will go offline for maintenance. If all goes smoothly, Season 3 should begin the morning of Friday, May 2.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 theme
All signs point to a full Star Wars-themed season for Chapter 6 Season 3. Expect iconic locations, weapons, and items inspired by the galaxy far, far away—similar to how the Marvel-focused “Absolute Doom” season played out last year.
This time, though, Epic is reportedly keeping things tighter, with the Star Wars season expected to run for just one month, avoiding the overstay criticism that plagued the previous Marvel season.
Fortnite Star Wars season battle pass
A Star Wars-themed season would mean a Star Wars-themed battle pass, but none of the skins have leaked yet. There are rumors and guesses based on code names, like Qui-Gon and C-3PO, but nothing real just yet.
Given that the season is expected to last just a month, it’s likely the battle pass will be shortened as well–the 30-day OG and Remix passes included just four skins instead of eight. But it could be that this Star Wars pass will have five skins.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 reveal event
Epic has teased a major Fortnite x Star Wars announcement during Star Wars Celebration Japan this weekend. A big reveal is expected on the Star Wars YouTube livestream on Saturday, April 19. While we likely won’t get a full battle pass breakdown just yet, a teaser or trailer seems all but confirmed.
New Fortnite Star Wars skins
In addition to the battle pass, expect new Star Wars-themed cosmetics in the item shop. Rumors suggest possible appearances from Palpatine, General Grievous, and others—though it’s still unclear if these would be part of the pass or separate purchases.
Lego Fortnite Star Wars updates in Chapter 6 Season 3
The current Lego Pass also ends on May 2, hinting that Star Wars content might hit Lego Fortnite Odyssey alongside the main battle royale update. Last year’s Lego Pass brought Chewbacca and a Galactic Civil War storyline—so it’s reasonable to expect a similar Star Wars crossover this time as well.
